So sorry if you read that last post. I read it this morning and you can definitly tell that the meds had stripped all ability to write coherently! I have a sinus infection, and I feel like poo on a stick when I'm not taking the meds.
Yesterday was a day of Dr's for us. Me for a follow-up of another issue (and a quick check of my sinuses) and Mikey had his 3 year check-up. Is it bad when the doc looks and is relieved when the patient isn't wearing cowboy boots? Last year he got upset w/ her, and much to my chargrin kicked the doc. Here's the thing, Mikey hasn't really been sick (and the few times he has, I've had to take him to the ER)-thank the Lord, but a 'speech problem' has been overlooked ('what the crap?!? I understand him just fine' was my gut reaction)
Maybe it's because I am mom, and I'm with him all of the time and the fact that he has an extensive vocabulary and a great ability to come up w/ complex sentences, but evidently she was concerned. He's tongue tied, but wouldn't stick his tongue out or unclamp the jaws of death so that the dr could look, so that may be an option, if she ever gets to take a look. I guess we've taught him too well that it's not nice to stick your tongue out!
His ped in KY, when he was born, had told me to keep the fact that he's tongue tied in the back of my mind when he learned to talk, and I totally spaced. So now it's wait and see.
Also, Shannon has started a great discussion dealing w/ modesty and it's place, or lack thereof, in todays society, so go check it out!! You'll be so glad that you did.
