Sunday I was so very proud of my family.... we made it to the Sunrise Service at our church, ON TIME. For the E family this is a feat that is hard to accomplish! I had to accept the fact that my husband has an automatic lateness factor embedded into his genes somewhere when we first got married (being late really irritates me, so we have often ended up driving 2 seperate vehicles to the same event), then after Mikey was born being about 5 minutes late for church has become a very real reality...no matter how much I plan. My sunday school class that I teach loves this 5 minute thing (they play carpetball for that time period).
Considering the fact that we haven't been upstairs during a worship service for nearly 9 months Mikey even did really well w/ sitting *still* (which is hard for any 2 1/2 year old) and was really quiet. At one point Mikey remembered the magical under the pew way to get to his grandma in the pew in front of us. So, I let him do it. He proceeded to play under the pew very quietly w/ his truck, so I really saw no use in making him get his heiny up into a seat, it was getting to the point that all children were getting squirmy. Yeah. All of a sudden we heard the rip of velcro, and Mikey popped up and yelled "SURPRISE" all the while holding an airfreshener that was stuck up underneith the pew. Yep, that's my boy. Good thing we attend a very small church :)
Work is going well. I am still caught off gaurd when the office manager gives me a compliment for something that I've done, or sayes that she appreciates me (or whoever... she likes to let us all know that). It seems strange to me that I'm working in a great office! God is really good. This job was straight from Him in how it fell into my lap, and really it's so much more.
In the conception of this mobile medical office, the doctors really felt like God was calling them to serve in the mission field by using their talents and credentals. . The elderly and/or mentally/physically challenged in nursing homes often go over looked. Yes, we provide a service, but it's so neat as we build relationships w/ patients and staff. I was forewarned about one patient the other day.... yep, she looked frail, but when she grabbed me for the hug that she loves to give, my insides were squashed in her embracing bear hug. How could that not make you smile? She makes it well known to the staff that she loves that we hug back, and that the doc tells her that he loves her. We work hard, but also we take time to care about our people.
My sil fainted and broke her arm yesterday, so I'm off to get ready to go visit her! Have a blessed day my friends :)

I am so glad that work is going so well. I know that when passion meets work, everything feel so "right." We also made it to the sunrise service, but 5 minutes late. Kids can do that to you! Jake made it halfway through the service before we had to leave. He knows there are toys and he doesn't like to sit still when he can go play! :-)
I don't know what it is lately but everywhere I go I seem to be late. I'm usually so punctual and I can't be on time to save my life it seems.
Hey, thanks for stopping by 2nd Cup! Passing the brain bleach, as requested!
