Life's been crazy here! I'm still alive, and still pregnant! So hey that's a victory right? More to come soon :)

Oh, the fun! I've been reading "not me Monday's" for some time now, and I finally have the nerve to jump in! So, what is it? Let MckMama explain....

Are you feeling ashamed for letting your child go to bed without brushing his teeth...again!? Did you eat a Snickers bar during a meeting without anyone knowing? Do you pretend that my Tweets are really urgent messages when you receive them on your cell phone? Are you feeling embarrassed that you kicked the dog? We'll don't be. Not Me! Monday was born out of a desire to admit some of our imperfections and reveal a few moments we'd rather forget.

Why?

Well, for one, because it's just plain fun to pretend that we really did not do the things that we actually so did do. And, two, because reading through great tales of other people's Not Me! Mondays each week is a great way to level the playing field. We're all human, we all take embarrassing shortcuts, and so we may as well show each other that we're all in good company!

So, with that being said....

I most certainly did not throw away things this week simply because I didn't want to deal with them anymore... and am definitly not tempted to do it some more.

When little man wondered into our room, I most certainly did not pretend to stay asleep so that daddy could get him back into his bed to go to sleep.

Caller id has not dictated when or when I did not answer the phone this week....when it was my mil or the crabby guy that keeps calling work.

I did not actually consider cereal as a viable, and ok answer for supper to avoid the melt down. I also did not hide (and then fib about)mashed potatoes being mixed into the stroganoff.

I did not plant the idea that little man wanted to go to grandpa's after church on Sunday. Then I most certainly did not take a long nap..... i cleaned and packed.

I did NOT do the happy dance when I found out that someone at work was going for her 2nd interview!

Finally, I have not cried at silly tv shows this week!

String....not just for tying things up anymore!

I found myself off of work early on Christmas Eve, and decided to head to the mall near where I work. Some one should've shot me in the foot for even heading in that direction!! In the midst of the chaos, i decided to pamper myself some by getting my eyebrows done. I found a cute, new little place which was different, instead of using wax they used thread (it's actually called threading)

It boasted claims such as "no pain" and "virtually no redness" and "all natural", plus it just looked pretty darn cool to boot. There was a little uncomfortableness at a couple of times, but it was way better than the pain from tweezing! I also didn't have the tell tale red uni going on after about 10 minutes(it doesn't take off skin layers like waxing does, that is why the redness goes away so fast). Also, it is supposed to last longer and your hair should grow back finer.

I'll definitly be going back! My brows look better than they ever have :) The lady who did mine learned to thread when she was 5 (5!!) years old. I find it super cool to be able to witness a true skill, which was passed on from her mom, sisters, and grandma. She had actually never even heard of wax or tweezers until she came to America!
