Tis the Season!

Overwhelmed isn't the word to describe how I feel right now, I feel buried under a mound of things that have yet-to-be-done, and it keeps on growing, but seemingly there isn't enough time to accomplish everything. Holiday's are usually hard for me, but the Christmas season this year has been really a good fantastic one. So this calls for a celebratory list of a smathering of great things from the past couple of weeks.

*Naps. I forgot how great a nap feels at your parents house. You know the kind of peace that you get from the fact that the kids are being entertained and you don't have a mile long list of things that you think that you should be cleaning, straightening, or organizing. Yep enjoyed that tremendously. everyday.

*Good health. Hubs back injury aside, we were all healthy. My future SIL had emergency surgery for an appendicitis on Christmas Eve (which ended up being a lot more serious than that... part of her intestine had to be removed), but is at home recovering... something that could have very well have killed her was taken care of.

*Mikey playing the part of boy Jesus. Too Cute.

*Watching whispered convo between my FIL and Mikey during church makes me realize how precious family is, and how we take people for granted. Relationships are so precious. I want my boy to grow up learning from his grandfather, but it hit me that this may not be the case.

*Mikey declaring that it is Jesus' birthday, and that He lives in our hearts. Some things are sinking in, building that foundation.

*Laughter. Family. Friends. Food.
